Another Summer Drawing To An End

This time next week it will be Labor Day.

As everyone knows, this weekend signifies the end of summer with our children, grandchildren, and for some, even great-grandchildren going back to school. The days will start to cool down and they continue to get shorter.

For some, the cooler days will bring relief. For others like us in the northeast portion of the country, we see the warm weather coming to an end too quickly. It brings us to the realization that those cold, snowy winter days are much closer than we might like to think.

It’s been another one of those years with everyone still trying to deal with Covid, but I hope you have an opportunity to spend some time this Labor Day weekend with family and friends. You might also consider taking a moment to understand what Labor Day means to America’s workforce.

It’s a day to celebrate what this country has been built on – hard work performed by none other than America’s workforce.

It is our hope here at U.S. Compliance Systems that this holiday also reminds everyone how important it is for us to protect America’s workforce from hazards in the workplace and that it helps us to realize that a safe workplace benefits everyone.

As we say, a safe workplace protects a company’s most valuable assets – – their employees . . . reputation . . . and profits.

Please take a few minutes before work starts this week to remind others how important it is to work in a safe manner.

Be safe this week and enjoy the upcoming holiday weekend.

Employee QuickTip

Remember – a safe workplace requires everyone to do their part.

Employer/Management QuickTip

Take some time each day to remind employees to make sure they have the right tool for the job, make sure their tools are in good working order, that they operate tools and equipment in a safe manner, and that they are properly trained before they operate any tool or piece of equipment.
