Third Party Compliance Program Requests
Becoming compliant with third parties can be challenging, as they often exceed Federal and State OSHA safety requirements, complicating compliant efforts.
Recently we observed an increase in requests for new safety programs from the third parties we support. If you cannot locate a specific safety topic within the OWYN Safety Dashboard, please contact us promptly. As OWYN Safety is not directly affiliated with these third parties, we depend on clients to keep us informed of new requests.
For ISNetworld-related topics, please export the safety topic file – including all questions – to ensure our writers incorporate all necessary details. Here is a helpful article to guide you through the export process. For other third parties, please provide any relevant documentation, and we may request account access if needed to ensure completeness.
Send all files to support@owynsafety.com or attach them via the chat window located in the lower right corner on our website.
Typical turnaround for new programs is 1-2 weeks. If urgent, we may offer existing documentation as a temporary solution while developing your safety topic.
September is Suicide Prevention Month
September is National Suicide Prevention Month. You might be wondering why we are mentioning it to construction and industry employers. In 2020, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that men working in construction have one of the highest suicides rates compared to other industries.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has formed a task force of industry partners, unions and educators to raise awareness of the types of stress that can push construction workers into depression towards suicide.
