Why We Started US Compliance Systems
OWYN Safety got its start in 1999 as US Compliance Systems. Keith Dague and Charles Jobe owned contracting businesses and experienced the headaches of trying to satisfy OSHA requirements first-hand. They knew there had to be a better way. So they started a company to make safety management simple, easy and pain-free.
Over time, safety requirements became even tougher to meet. This spurred the emergence of robust and complicated safety management programs. With an extensive list of services and high price tags, they weren’t a realistic solution for smaller businesses.
Driven to deliver on their original core values of simple, easy and pain-free, US Compliance Systems evolved to OWYN Safety. In 2022, the family-run business introduced an affordable subscription-based safety and compliance management platform based on one principle: providing Only What You Need.

We’re an Ohio-based family-founded, employee-owned business. Our staff includes many members of the founding Dague family along with a growing team of specialists in online technology and document delivery.

My biggest achievement in life has been to marry the girl down the street, raise our 4 children together and continue to share in their lives along with our 4 grandchildren.

I’ve been a full-time employee of U.S. Compliance Systems dba OWYN Safety since 2013. My focus is on operations and staff management. When I’m not working, I can be found reading or hanging out with family and friends.

I enjoy working on cars, but mostly my own. Anything from basic car repairs to completely custom modifications. Ex: Installed a Nintendo in the car for long drive-thru waits.

I’ve been a full-time employee of U.S. Compliance Systems dba OWYN Safety since 2014. I enjoy spending time with my family by going for walks, swimming at the pool and visiting the beach. I also enjoy baking and making delicious chocolate dipped treats.

A favorite pastime of mine is playing cornhole. For the past 6 years or so, a bunch of friends all meet up on Thursday evening to play some cornhole during the summer. We now are in a league during the winter months. I like it because its all about throwing bags with your buddies.
