Some Things Never Change

Years go by and some things change, but when it comes to workplace safety, the need for employees and employers to work together to make a safer workplace for everyone never changes.

So, here’s the first New Year’s Safety E-QuickTip written in 2011 that still rings true today.

I’ve changed the dates to represent today, but the rest is word for word.

Hard to believe but another year is coming to an end. I hope 2021 has been good to you
and your family.

As you move through what I always consider the transition week of the year, I hope you will
take some time if you are in management to think about what you can do to make 2022 the
safest year ever for your employees. And if you are an employee, I hope you will also take
some time to think about what you can do to make your workplace a little safer for the new
year.

I’m not talking about a New Year’s resolution, but more of changing the way you think
about and deal with safety in the workplace.

I hear time and time again how employers and employees don’t like the fact that OSHA
(“another government agency”) is trying to tell them what they should do. I hope if that is
the way you feel, you will set those thoughts aside for 2022 and look at jobsite safety as an
opportunity to help ensure that everyone is able to return home at the end of the workday
safely to both family and friends.

Here at U.S. Compliance Systems, we will do our best in 2022 to provide you the services
and support necessary to protect your Employees, Company Reputation and Profits.

On behalf of all of us here at U.S. Compliance Systems, I hope you and your families have
a Safe and Happy New Year.
